What I’ve been playing…

Well this is a weekly feature where I am going to post about what i’ve been playing the past week. I’m going to try to do atleast by the weekend. This week has certainly been pretty crazy week so far in terms of games that I been playing because of the fact that there have been SO many which can be a good / bad thing at once. So far i’ve been playing

Halo 3 - Still hooked on this bad boy. Have been playing it consistenly for about six months now and gets the most play on my 360.

Madden 09 – A bit here and there, mostly for review, have been playing this game with some friends.

Too Human – This game has been played about 13 hrs by me since wednesday which is crazy for me because no game has hooked me that much for a long while and certainly everyone has heard the good and bad about this game but I will speak about this more in my review later on.

World of Warcraft – Yes, I have been hooked on WoW. For the past year and a half it has been one of my most played games. I will take a couple months off but always for a month or two it will be constant WoW. I am working on my first real character, a  warlock who is lvl 37, and it has certainly picked up.

That’s about it for right now I will certainly update what i’ve been playing next week.

Review: Madden NFL 2009

Madden is one those those games where no matter what year it is, you knows that millions of people are going to go out and buy it no matter what. EA gave us good reason with Madden 2009 to not only go out and buy this years edition but also be happy with the purchase we’ve made. They have certainly kicked up the game quite a bit and they’ve put together a special football title with plently of improvements to make this one of the best Madden titles yet.

Hey all sorry for not coming out with the Pub Games and Madden reviews earlier with a very busy weekend as well as this tropical storm it’s been chaotic but I will have Madden out no later than this weekend and Pub Games a little bit afterwards with Too Human coming by the weekend. Hope everyone is having ton’s of fun!

Too Human Impressions

Well I been playing Too Human for about 2 days now and I got to say while it’s not the best game ever (the countless reviews out have pretty much stated that) it is a game that for loot & dungeon lovers alike will all enjoy. I was a fan of the demo and if you are as well then I think you should go ahead and give it a try. Many people have said if you like Diablo then you will like TH but I myself don’t see that comparison that much it is a great loot game but I think the comparisons stop there. Look for my review in a bit.

Review: Battlefield: Bad Company

Bad Company is one of those games you could take a good five minutes looking at someone else play and actually be satisfied and happy that you did. The way the game presents everything to you during the course of both the single player and multiplayer, it will most likely make your jaw drop. DICE did a great job of you actually feeling the game while actually playing it. They used several new technologies in the game that definitely help make the game have that difference as to not be too closely compared to the other big online FPS (Halo 3, COD4) out there. Most of the menus and things of that nature are simplistic but in a good way as to not over complicate things that might have some gamers weary of continuing to play but they do a good job so that it does not happen. The story is basically some army outcasts who are labeled as ‘Bad Company’ who are all put together to do a job that no other group would even want to. During the course of the game and cut scenes you will find light humor sprinkled throughout all the characters and might give you a chuckle or two. To me the story wasn’t the bread or butter of the game but it did have one and was something fun to do when not playing online.

Fable II Pub Games Pre-Review

This is my second segment of pre-reviews on the blog but I have played a couple hrs of the Pub Games and I have to say that they are a pretty good time waster. You basically create a character in the game which acts pretty much as your bank and you can go ahead and play different games with him. Now the interesting aspect is that once the game comes out in October you will be able to take any gold and items you have acquired in the Pub Games and ‘merge’ them with your in-game hero which is a nifty little feature.

The review should be out sometime before Sunday not exactly sure when but it will be up this weekend. Go check it out on XBLM.

Madden Pre-Review

Well it’s been about 24 hrs that I have had Madden 2009 and it’s a rollercoaster of a game but in a good way. The game certainly has improved very much so in many different departments but it also has some problems but to me atleast, can definitly be looked passed and it has some very fun times. The online is solid from the couple of games I have played against both random people as well as friends. The review should come by Friday so look out for that.

It’s Pre-Madden Day

Well folks today is officially the day before Maddenholiday…. maybe not officially, but hey I am technically correct. At midnight today, thousands of Maddenites (If that’s even a term) are going to be going into Gamestops & Walmarts and purchasing a much improved Madden 09. The game sports an upgrade in both features and even the visuals look highly more impressive –especially during weather games–so we shall see just how good the game is once it starts getting in the hand of all these crazy gamers, including myself.

Hello vistor(s) to this great blog that I have started. Now let me start by saying I am in no means a “blog rookie” but in a way I guess I am no veteran. I have started a blog or two back in the day but I always had a problem where I would always just get bored with it. That is going to change though as I have started this blog and intend to have it active with many reviews, news, and such all the while putting my special flavor on the content.
